Hi chaps!

Here are some shots of my latest work, a commission job for a XV-9 Crisis Hazzard Close Support Armour.
This beast was taller than expected, that's why I included a standard space marine as a size comparision.

The cast itself was quite ok except for the head since the main lense rim was damaged and the lense itself was so rough I wasnt able to remove it all.

The customer wanted it to look pretty close to the forgeworld reference pic but I added a blue contrast colour to make it look more interesting.
The sandy body parts consist of four different shades and was done using zenithal highlighting with an airbrush, battle damage was done with the usual sponge technique.

Comments and critics are highly appreciated!

He looks great. The blue really pops, in a good way.

This is a great piece. However, the running pose to me looks a little off to me. It looks more like he is skating on the front foot than actually running. I think it has to do with both legs being fully extended (straight). Typically when running if one leg is fully extended the other is flexed to ready itself for another stride. Maybe making the rear leg's knee come down straighter and having the lower leg make more of an L shape would make it more natural (or bringing the front leg up so the knee is closer to the chest and putting the back leg near the ground as if he is pushing off the back leg).

There is also an awful lot of tan on the model, the blue was an excellent choice to make the model more interesting, but you may have wanted to gone a bit further to break up the chest, legs and back sections with some other colors. Maybe picking out some of the joints and the large flat head screwdriver looking bits with a metal color would have been a good way to break up the tan areas without going over the top and changing the overall feel.

Overall, good stuff and I am sure the end client will be happy with their new suit.
