Hi All,

I'm still in the process of experimenting with various lists for TK and I was seeking some advice for the following list. I aim for this list to not only be competitive, but to look pretty awesome on the battlefield as well (I love the Warsphinx model). So anyway, here it is:

LORDS
1 Liche High Priest - LVL 4, Obsidian Amulet

HEROES
1 Tomb Herald - BSB, Standard of Undying Legion, GW
1 Liche Priest - LVL 2
1 Tomb Prince - Dragonbane Gem, Ogre Blade
1 Necrotect

CORE
47 Skeleton Warriors - LA, Spears, FC
3 Chariots
19 Archers

SPECIAL
1 Warsphinx - Fiery Roar
1 Warsphinx - Fiery Roar
1 Warsphinx - Fiery Roar

RARE
1 Casket
1 SSC

The tactics with this is pretty simple, put the Warsphinxes out front, with the Skellie warriors sitting behind (This unit contains the TP, LVL2 and Necro). I was toying around with Tomb Guard instead, but the lack of unit strength that I could obtain within this points value made me concerned. Hence, I should be dealing 40+ WS 5, reroll to hit attacks, which should hold pretty well against most things. Both priests will be taking Nek to simply augment everything they can, not to mention that this also keeps the Skellie units topped up. SSC and Casket are obviously there to wreck havoc against enemy warmachines. I'm hoping for the chariot to watch flanks/hunt warmachines as well.

Anyway, please let me know what you think!

Peace through superior firepower.

YOur list is nearly perfect. Nearly. 2 adjustments:

Scrap the Tomb Prince and lvl 2 priest and liquidate them for Tomb King with Destroyer of Eternities. Having the TK with DOE in the middle of your army makes for a solid center to your force - then you can use the sphynx's to flank as opposed to be a shield.

47 skeletons, necrotect, BSB and king with DoE is nothing short of devestating. Put the obsidian amulet on your Necrotect and if you have the points magic armor on the herald.

This list is pretty much what I run at 2500 and It does very well - I win about 2/3 of all games. I'm trying to figure out why your points feel so low tho..

at 2,000 points I run:

Lvl 4 priest
TK with DOE

Herald BSB w/ Legion banner
Lvl 2 priest
NEcrotect

47 Skeletons
19 archers
8 horse archers

warsphinx
warsphinx

SSC
SSC
Casket

Although I may be thinking 25 - i'll have to re-look at the points. YOur army just feels small for 2200.

Current Armies:

Warmachine:
Shae Pirate's Life 50
Durgen attrition 50

WH40K:
Orks (5,000 pt Apoc Kan Wall, 1850 Bikerz)
Grey Knights (1850 Crowe Purifiers, 2500 'Ard Boyz Draigo)
Sisters of Battle (Seraphim spam)

WHFB:
2400 Empire
3000 Tomb Kings

Thanks 2000 Volts, I had actually taken your advice in the previous TK list I posted and I feel that this is a far better composition than my previous attempt.

If I were to remove the TP and LVL 2 from the skellie horde and replace it with the TK, would this be a better bunker for the LVL 4 to sit in than the archer unit?

I find the idea of the TK+DoE far better, thank you for suggesting it! I think it'll bring a lot more punch to the front lines...not mention an extra point of WS being added to the unit!

I'll rework the list a little and resubmit to see what you think.

Thanks a lot!

Peace through superior firepower.
