So after much consideration this is what I came up with. My theory was quite simple (as they ARE ogres after all), BOOM! HUR HUR HUR *thunk* as they stomp de' small ones. Also 5 points to 2k what luck.

Looks pretty solid, actually. For a boost to 1500, I would suggest a bigger, hard hitting unit, like Mournfang, Man Eaters or even Iron Guts. Also, a BSB is a must, as it helps your low leadership Ogres keep going. And speaking of Leadership, a nice Lord could fit in here, points allowing. Since you have 2 Firebellies for Magic, and assuming you want to keep them like that, perhaps a good Combat Tyrant would be a nice addition. Ld 9 (10 with the Standard of Discipline on either the BSB or a unit like Ironguts/Man Eaters) would be a nice asset to keeping your Ogres in line and a heavy combat character can go a long way to dealing with problems like Monsters, other combat characters and elite units. Other things that might be good to consider are Sabretusks. A unit of 1 Sabretusk is a great throw away unit used for redirecting and distraction, as well as War Machine hunting if needed.

I would go for a nice unit of ironguts and a bsb, with any points left going to cavalry or shooting in the form of leadbellys or a cannon... Nice to see a list that looks like an army! Let us know how it progresses!

Actually I see you are close to max heros... The bsb adds more than a second Mage, but a tyrant with kineater might suit your needs in this instance

I like it, however ive always found that a butcher AND a firebelly works better tahn 2 of either, i fully agree with the BSB, so perhaps a Slaughtermaster with LOGM and a BSB...if you really want the Firebelly, you may squeeze that in with the other two... but i assume that is a good 50% of your points (as is the ogre curse...) but as they say... go big or go home.
