Thought i'd post this now i've got some ok pics of it! Coming on nicely but there's still another 40-50 hrs needing to go into the painting yet I reckon, as well as fleshing out the base and modelling some and gore/drool etc. The skin blends actually go from deep blue through purples,reds, pinks, and has really vivid magenta mottling on it too, but my naff cam is really bad with its red gain (i guess the sensor don't like magenta). Derp.

It's just a typical grey NMM palette that goes from black to white, and i'd just started on blue tints to tone it into the main guy's scheme. The weathering is various browns like scorched brown, VMC german camo blackbrown, vermin, bestial etc. The knack is in the combination of sponging, washes, and manual brushwork to get the different textures and weathering types going, especially the placement of blacks and whites along what would be shadowed/highlighted to create the illusion of depth.
