Sallieman and B-Dizzle vs Crablezworth and Lutnit


The scenario is pretty much the same as apoc. 6 turns total, we bid from 1 to 20 for deployment/going first. 6 objectives.

We played wrecks as impassible but you could destroy them. Any glance or pen on a wreck would remove it from play, pen's would cause an explosion in addition to removing it.

For terrain we played with no melting through walls

That was a great report! the armies were gorgeous!

That is a some gorgeous terrain you got there! Not to mention the miniatures! Great battle report, enjoyed every second of it.

I love our games, there always fun, it was nice to use my marines again.

When the T-sons are done we'll have to do a chaos vs imperial/marines game or something!!!

Nice to see some house-ruling on terrain to shake things up.

For sure, loyalist vs renegades would awesome. Maybe my deathwatch and josh's blood angels vs your thousand sons and busby's deathguard or jason's alpha legion.

I can only speak for myself but I don't really like the crater rules, both esthetically and the fact that the gw craters are too big and rarely fit. Wreck's not being impassable leads to silly stuff like a rhino sitting on top a wrecked rhino, which just looks silly. I like the idea that a wreck blocks los but also impedes movement and slow an army down.

Beautifully painted armies there guys, although the rampant bestiality discussion was something of a shock to my delicate youtube-sensibilities.

Bad luck for the guard, but them's the breaks when you're against marines. Perhaps a couple of cheesy PBS' to go with the cheesy manticores might've made a positive difference

Vehicles don't 'melt' through walls, they crash through them. I'm also not sure how that makes someone a homosexual as well.

The Armies were well painted, the report itself was well done in good quality video.

But the guy in blue was a incredibly annoying bigot who needs to shut up so he doesn't offend other people with his poor choice of words.

Positives: Good fight with interesting armies, Great Quality video, Well edited and put together, 3 out of the 4 people were well put together and acted like outstanding gentlemen.

Negatives: Guy in blue needs to shut up, Used the word "cheesy", Weird terrain rules.

We have strong opinions on how terrain rules should work in our games, myself more than others. As for the f word, I've been using it my whole life, long before any sexual connotation was inferred. I believe mr louis c.k, can better explain.

If you still think I'm a bigot, allow me to offer you some information about myself. I am 100% for gay rights, my best friend is gay and I'm an ardent supporter of gay marriage, which thankfully is legal here in canada, something that makes me happy to be canadian.

In respect to us throwing the word cheesy around, we riff on each other because we're friends. It's ironic; we'll call anything that ends up destroying something else cheesy. I wouldn't even call it an inside joke, it seems fairly common practice.

In any case, I take no offense at being called an offensive douche. Douches are hygienic products and lord knows I am offensive, hence the profanity warning in red. But I do certainly want to clarify that I am no bigot and hate most people in equal measure.

I got the sense that we were given a window into the private world of your gaming group, aka your gang of immediate mates. Within which field, horrible, horrible jokes can be harmless because they have been repeated to death. In which case, fair do's.

Sadly, in the big bad world of the web, your particular sense of humour hasn't been repeated that often, which is the only reason there was a shock factor for me (p*). I think the intimacy of the vid was nice - we were seeing your particular vernacular on show - and I was a little put out by it, but hey, them's the webs. No beef at this end. I (p*) think that you still did an awesome batrep, and if you want to reach a wider audience, you may have to PC-up your slang - or, not do vids, where the whole world can judge you. We've got a lot of twitter-backlash happening in the UK just now where public figures have ended up shoe-in-mouth from using it without thinking, then being taken out of context. In this case the context is being one of your buddies and us having gotten lashed together a few times.

I'm not even sure if I'm contributing much to this, but anyway, that's how you talk amongst your crew, and the webs instinctively don't like it - which is a positive force for mankind, because if you didn't know you, and you saw yourself talking like that, maybe you'd think the same? I appreciate your imput. You hit it right on the nose, this was a game amongst friends in a basement and not in a hobby store so we didn't have to worry about younger ears, it's an accurate portrayal of how we are. We've tossed around the idea of making a series of video battle reps with more time put into production and I'm sure if we did there may be a concious effort to minimize offensive laguage. With that said it would be a monumental task because we'd have to do multiple takes when someone screws up and drops the f bomb or various other forms of sailor talk. At the end of the day though, if other batreps go all FCC I'd rather be the HBO alternative. In all likelyhood it would be faster to bleep stuff ala cable than to do multiple takes.

NICE! I really enjoyed that and now since watching Your bat rep i have now gained the motivation to PAINT WOOOO lol

Comedy bleeps of 'metal boxes' or other dawn of war sound files should work great. I'd definitely like you guys to do more

Thought the report was fantastic, I really appreciate being able to see into your personal gaming group. Which to be honest is not something that many groups would feel comfortable with.

Also on a side note thought that all the armies/terrain looked fantastic.

You guys make the best video reports. Great terrain as was said, is it all home made? If you get a GW board and paint up the roads, it'll look close enough to the white dwarf showcase reports.

The board looked a lot better in other reports. I had moved recently and since the board was so big it didn't fit in the staircase, so i was forced to cut the board in half leaving the unsightly crack down the middle. And the board was never fully complete in the first place.

But in good news, crablezworth and I will be hopefully soon be running a minimum bi-yearly tournament, and will be making new tables for it.

We have almost enough terrain for 10 full tables, 90% are homemade pieces of terrain, 5% are hybrids, homemade/pegasus/GW. other 5% are just plain kits we bought.

I gotta say this was great fun to participate in. This video re-enforces the idea for me that this is the only way to play 40k. Great painted armies with equally awesome terrain, and people. This is what makes 40k!

Great batrep. I usually play my IG against SM so...yeah. Assault Terms suck. Always.

Note: The dude in blue was hysterical, added something to the batrep that wasn't "Ok...we moved. We shot...their turn."
