If you put in a bad address then you cant change your password if you forget it but otherwise no potential problems.

So, if I want to change to a different email address, do I have to change my password too?

I cannot remember - I think you might have to at least enter your old password to authorise the email change (to prevent account hijacking). You do not have to change your password to something new though.

I tried that, and now it's telling me that my current password is invalid, so I logged out and then logged back in, and my current password was accepted that time. Must be a bug in the system.
