Posting in the forums, every so many posts, you get "promoted."

Post and ye shall receive....

Ranks go up at unspecified post counts.

This is partially for the fun of surprise, and partially so folks don't say "Hey, I can tell I'm two posts away from my rank going up, so I'll just make two quick spam/junk posts."

If you're bored with your current rank, you can change which rank track you're on my editing your profile. Or become a DCM, in which case you can edit your own at any time.
