Alright, so the Necron Battleforce has rekindled my want to start a necron army. I have wanted to run Trayzen since the day he came out and I wanted this last to be a semi competitive. I tried to use everything that came in the battleforce, and this list only needs a barge box, trayzen and a box of pratorians to make some lord conversions on top of two battle forces. It's nice, cheap and looks to be fun to play.

Total :1495

HQ:
Trayzn The Infinite:175
CC Barge:80

Royal Court:
Necron lord:75
Warscythe
Resurrection Orb
Necron lord:75
Warscythe
Resurrection Orb
Necron lord:75
Warscythe
Resurrection Orb

Troops:
Necron Warriors: 260
20 Warriors

Necron Warriors: 260
20 Warriors

Immortals:170
Tesla Carbines

Fast Attack:
Scarabs:150
10 bases

Heavy Support:
Doomsday Ark:175

The warriors and scarabs will advance, Trayzen will zip around to hold objectives (Scorring fast skimmers are AWESOME), the immortals will move with the warrior/scarab blob (Not really sure for them, but I thought the lest might benefit from Tesla support) and the lords go in the troops squads to pass around orbs and warscythes. Any input would be great!

Doomsday arc is pretty terrible, you can get 2x Annihilation Barges for only 5 pts more, which would put you right at 1500.

While that would do it, I would then have two Arks sitting around, which is not good for cost.

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

While I really like your list (footslogger) which is how i run mine rather than AV 13 spam, I can forsee two issues with this force.
1) Your only anti-armor is the scarab bases, granted, they are good at what they do, but they still are vulnerable to blast templates. If they go, you are without a viable anti-armor solution...other than the lords w/ warscythes, or relying on auto-glancing

2) Melee-heavy armies may give you trouble without a screen to protect your shooty phalanx. A favorite way to do that would be the Wraiths w/ whipcoils, or something of that nature. I use lychguard, but thats just me.

To accomodate a screen you could probably drop a few warriors from each squad to make point space for a few wraiths..

Bedouin Dynasty: 10000 pts
The Silver Lances: 4000 pts
The Custodes Winter Watch 4000 pts

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum.

Well, I have the doomsday ark for more Anti-Tank, but your right, it is light on AT.

I was thinking about a nice little CC unit of a destroyer lord w/ a warscyth and some of the jump infantry elite guys. Granted, that is A. More expensive $$ wise and B. Not the best unit. It has mobility and the ability to really hurt armor if it hits it.
