Hey guys, i have a few forgeworld armagedon pattern basilisks (2) that i run with a medusa, but the minimum range tends to be a real pain at times, i was thinking about maybe taking the barrels down and turing them into geddon pattern griffons and just wondered if anyone else has done this or similar brutality to forgeworld kits. kinda hoping for someone to say i did and it turned out awesome

Minimum range on a basilisk is ONLY when firing in barrage mode.

If you fire DIRECT, it is treated just like any other ordnance blast weapon (ie, it's just a S9 battle cannon), cover is taken from any intervening terrain from the POV of the firer, and you IGNORE the minimum range.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
