With the new Tervigon and Swarmlord out soon, I decided to get back into my 'Nids.
I've tried to make this list moderately competitive by the way.
Comments, Critisism please!

Are you sticking with CC 'fexes, or going with dakkafexes, they seem to be more effective.
Little light on troops, best hope you roll well with the tervigons!
Hive guard are always good, same with Zoans. SL will eat anything it gets into melee with alive, just gotta get him there.

I had them as dakka fexes in the first place, but I left carnifexes basic due to restriction on points. :( What would you recommend for troops other than the trvigons?

Abaddon presumably.

And he doesn't 'eat Swarmlord for breakfast' believe me, i've tried it. Abaddon can win easily, but Tyrant Guard with a Lash whip pretty much equals Swarmlord win, Abaddon could always roll a 1 (I did that, two times in a row against Swarmlord....), and with re-rolling passed inv saves, Swarmlord is pretty good against Abaddon.

Do you have no upgrades on the fexes? Seems like they won't be that good to be honest, probably drop one (or the Zooanthropes or Hive Guard), get one Tyrant Guard and either which ever guns are best of Fexes (can't remember off the top of my head) or things like Frag spines and AG (so they assault at I4, and can assault into terrain)

i think he means abadon... but if the person with the sl is plaing it right he will have a lashwhip tyrant guard or 2.. so i1 for abby.. and eating lots of id attacks..

Swarmy *needs* Tyrant Guard. Not even an option.

Drop a Carnifex, pick up 2 TG with lash whips, give Frag Spines and Adrenal Glands to the other two Carnifexs.

One Tyrant Guard is 'enough' or 'better' I think, also, in case you didn't know when he has Tyrant Guard with him COVER SAVE because the pair/trio become a squad, and if the Tyrant Guard is obscured, the squad (including Swarmlord) get cover. And you can obscure a Tyrant guard with gaunts, not as easy to cover 50% of the Swarmlord....

But yeah, I missed that you had 2 squads of 10 termagaunts before, my mistake.
I would get some kind of ranged weapons on those fexes, or consider swiping they for a trygon or two
