At first I was "Oh, lively and intelligent debate about a political issue", but then I was "derp, FoxNews".

And I will admit that I did not even click on the link. So for all I know it could be full of valid points, but I am not in the mood for Fox tonight.

Me? I blame the Lilliputians. Never have i seen such small minded fools. They refuse to look at the big picture, and, to be short, everyone looks down on them.

That's why I support the bull-moose party.

OK here's some cliff notes.

Gas shot up 12 cents in the past week.

Obama is saying that gas production is going up because of his policies. Industry annalists say that gas production is going up, not because of him but, despite of him. In the federal controlled land production is down 30%, lease sale in the Rocky Mountains on federal land is down 70%. The president has put 85% of the Outer Continental Shelf off limits and is only making 3% of the available for development. Numbers from think tanks and the Federal Energy Administration confirm that.

Republicans are making steadily rising gas prices a political liability. The president wanted to drive up gas prices to make renewable more attractive and still denies drilling will help. Drilling and development takes years and that is why the president can't take credit for leases signed during the Bush administration.

On private lands the oil production is booming, in North Dakota the oil and gas pumps are on state land and beyond the president's control. North Dakota's oil economy has gone from producing a small amount to some 450 thousand barrels a day. Unemployment is at 3.3%, the lowest in the country, and the state has a budget surplus.

The US and Canada have enough oil reserve that along with renewables, we can be energy self-sufficient in 12 years.

First of all, calling the American petroleum institute an "expert" on energy policy is like calling hannibal lector an expert on human rights. It's one of the the largest oil lobbying groups on the planet. Second of all the U.S. can not produce enough oil to become energy independent in twelve years. That's a bath salts induced fantasy that an eleven year old could tell is untrue with five minutes on google. Building the infrastructure for that alone would take longer, let alone negotiating contracts for acquisition or pulling the oil itself out of the ground. The proven reserves in the U.S. also wouldn't last very long given how much we use.

Thirdly, north Dakota has a population of a half million people and titanic land wealth per human acre. The united states would have to cover most of the land on the earth for the rest of the country to do what north dakota gets to do. Unfortunately it doesn't.

Lets focus on the real issue here which is the fact that the largest media conglomerate on earth (newscorp) has no journalistic integrity what so ever and engages in party politics and yellow journalism in every outlet it owns on every continent on the planet for the specific aim of making more money.

Scarier still is that tens of thousands of those pictures were donated by people who have over 40,000 posts.

I will let you guess who those people could be.

Oh right, we should all watch progressive news channels like current TV, owned by who,
Spoiler:
Al Gore
because they put on only intelligent people like this.

That would be insane progressive commentator Cenk Uygur. (yes, that is actually how his name is spelled.)

I am pro demagoguery. I like getting news from there because it is the conservative look on the issues. I do not like watching Sean Hanity because every show is the goddamn same. (Don't keep telling me the ways the president blamed Bush, I know this)

For a Libertarian voice I go to Fox Business to watch John Stossel talk about economics and Judge Nepoletano talk about about Laws.

I don't like watching progressive media because every time I turn them on they're talking about race and global warming.

Yeah, I'm probably not going to concede many points because for the most part your points are utterly insane. They started insane, they became Linsane, then they settled back down to simply being intensely ignorant of even the barest facts of economics, science, sociopolitics, or media. You also managed to call me a sheep in your first post to me. For now I'm probably just going to take and pic posts to respond to when they're exceptionally wrong (such as treating one of the largest oil lobbies on the planet as a trusted expert and stating that the U.S. could be energy independent in 12 years).

When I'm not here I'm sure other people will (as they did) do the same. Hell, you managed to break chongara out of his insane conservative costume by somehow raising the bar above what he could truly aspire to. Your wake is impressive.

You like convincing people by way of an appeal to prejudice?

I mean, that's fine, and its a necessary thing in a democratic nation for a number of reasons, but most people don't think that's a positive feature of this system of governance.
