The setup: 4 players (including me) each bring a 750pt army for a 2_vs_2 team game.
The catch: nobody knows what armies people are bringing or who our team mate is

HQ:
Canoness with Power Sword, Rosarius, Melta Bombs (105)

Troops:
10x Battle Sisters, 2 Meltaguns (145)
Rhino (35)
10x Battle Sisters, 2 Meltaguns (145)
Rhino (35)

Fast Attack:
5x Seraphim, Superior has Power Sword, Melta Bombs, 1 Twin Flamers (115)

Heavy Support:
5x Retributors, 2x Heavy Flamers (105)
Immolator, Heavy Bolters (65)

Canoness rides with the Retributors - rending heavy flamers should clear objectives while the Canoness protects the squad from enemy assaults.
Sisters pop enemy armour from the Rhino hatches and then sit on objectives the Retributors clear.
Seraphim stay behind the armoured advance as a counter-charge unit.

Obviously this will only be half an army but as I don't know what the other half is, its really hard to develop the game plan any more.

Thoughts please?

Thanks in advance, C_C

Several suggestions:

Drop canoness and take Saint Celestine instead.
If you don't have StC or would like to strick with canoness then drop all upgrades from her and take Sororitas Command Squad with 3 Multi-Meltas in an Immolator (any kind).

Drop Seraphim and take Dominions instead or additional BSS.

In HS slot you could keep Heavy Flamers (4 would be ideal) or just take plain Exorcist.

Unfortunately I don't have Celestine and we play strict WYSIWG in our group.

I might drop the Seraphim for an Exorcist and change the Canoness' loadout to find the extra 20 pts, perhaps something like this...

HQ:
Canoness with Power Sword, Combi-Flamer (85)

Troops:
10x Battle Sisters, 2 Meltaguns (145)
Rhino (35)
10x Battle Sisters, 2 Meltaguns (145)
Rhino (35)

Heavy Support:
5x Retributors, 2x Heavy Flamers (105)
Immolator, Heavy Bolters (65)
Exorcist (135)

Is this a better TAC list than the first, though? Or is it too focussed on anti-vehicle (possible opponents include Gaurd, Orks and 'nids so its something to bear in mind)

I don't think it's too anti-tank. Exorcists are one of the best units the Sisters have available to them and taking one at your point level should be just fine. If you have the models for it and are considering something slightly more anti-infantry what I might recommend is this:

Drop the 5x Retributors, 2x Heavy Flamers (105) and Immolator, Heavy Bolters (65) for two units of 5x Retributors with 4x Heavy Bolters (85pts each). That's two units with 12x 36" potentially Rending shots, great for taking out light tanks and will cut infantry down quickly. You lose some mobility, but if you deploy them into cover you likely won't have to move them much at all, especially if you manage to get them on the second or third floor of a builing or other high terrain piece. Consider that that Immolator is going to be priority #1 as it's the highest point value target for anti-tank and contains a unit that is somewhat useless outside of 14".

This list has no redundancy. I would personally trade the Retributors for another Exorcist and try to squeeze in a command squad with Heavy bolters for a bit more anti-infantry. the chance for relentless gives them decent mobility. I dont have my "codex" in front of me, but I believe it should all fit, particularly if the Canoness loses her extra gear.

Nevermind, my estimate was WAAY off, 70 points too many. Now I remember why I don't play sisters at low points...

OK, whole new Idea. Seeing how you have an ally, I would take three exorcists with two 10-strong squads of girls plus the required Canoness. set yourself up as fire support plus two units to sit on objectives in/near the deployment zone.

use the tanks to pop transports/MC's or dent tanks as needed and hope your random partner is blood angels

I dont think I mind your initial list at all. I am a really big fan of scouting multimeltas and exorcists but 750 is a weird total for sisters. Well that isn't entirely true. I don't like the wishy washyness of the poorly upgraded retributors and seraphim. Unless you feel like you can really lean on units, you need them, or they score for you, I would rather have fewer units that are assuredly going to do their job.

A cannoness hanging out on objectives or midfield with 3 relentless power-armored multimeltas that feel no pain sound pretty good to me. Especially when there is another multimelta on the immolator, but I don't mind your retributor plan either, that sounded pretty cute.

It's just a show, I should really just relax... It's just a show, I should really just relax... It's just a show, I should really just relax... It's just a show, I should really just relax...

If I could play this I would run
HQ-
Uriah Jacobus w/2 crusaders,5DCA in Rhino-230

Troop
BSS w/flamer+melta in Rhino-175
BSS w/flamer+melta in Rhino-175
(maybe even do flamer +Multimelta)

Heavy
Ret w/4 Heavy Bolters-85
Ret w/4 Heavy Bolters-85

Of course in the end it is what models you have and use well.
good luck.

The easiest thing to do with something like this is give a list of models that you have because we dont have any idea what you can field.
For 750pts there are a crazy amount of highly effective builds you can bring.

4000pts
