I've been steadily working on repainting my Tau army, plus painting my new Forge World purchases. Here is some of the progress:

Devilfish, Remora Drone Stealth Fighter, and Skyray/Hammerhead.

Still has some work left, but I'm really liking the way they're turning out.

Good start. Personally, I am not a fan of grey armies outside IG though.
Also be aware that backgroundwise, the Farsight enclave doesn't have the newest tech.

It does look flat too, I imagine it's not finished.

There could be highlights, flashy colours, anything, it is quite dull. The remora is probably finished but the camo is weird (normally it's done in squares, although we are talking xenos here, but the boomerang shapes look a bit weird even for Tau asthetic which mixes circles with squares).

The suits are good though (if anything, someone would probably tell you to give it the slightest bit of a dark wash to bring out the detail in it a bit more), but the first picture makes it look already dark compared to the second picture.

This army is a Sept of my own creation...don't have a name or fluff for it yet, but it's not supposed to be part of the Farsight Enclave...I really liked the way the Commander R'alai turned out with the red and black scheme, and I went with it to make him stand out from the rest of the army. The rest of the suits use Fortress Gray on the armor plates and main body, with Chaos Black on joints, armor details, and non-armored portions.

As for the camo, I've seen Tau with everything from "fractal" type camouflages to the dreaded "Tron" Tau (which I personally can't stand). I went with this camo scheme because it does a great job of visually breaking up the lines of the vehicles (which is what camo should do). And, yes, there is still much work to be done...the Remora is the closest to being complete, but it does still have work to be done. Thanks for the C&C!
