Hi Dakkites,

Im almost ready with parts but I not wish to play these as GK codex.

I was hoping to represent the heavy/special weapons as magic/psychic manifestations.

To this end, I appeal to the greater imagination of the Dakka community.

Existing conversion pieces would be preferable, as Im not keen on sculpting.

Thank you in advance!

I love your sig, but I really don't have a clue what you're asking for here.
Try typing a bit more coherently and I'll try and help you out.

If its parts your after, you could try the scibor ranges - they have a lot of 'egyptian' themed steam knight style parts thats I've seen other thousand son players use:

http://sciborminiatures.com/en_,shop.php?art=910

http://sciborminiatures.com/en_,shop.php?art=997#i/2010/big/egiptian_shoulderpads_01.jpg

also theres these heads from chapter house studios that I've always thought could look good as thousand sons:

As far as representing the 'pschic' side of things I suppose you could try using the DA accessories? They have a lot of robes etc that could be painted in different colours.

Other than that my only suggestion is to give sculpting a go! Practice makes perfect.

The idea is to use Codex:SM and, pending release and viability, eventually Codex:CSM.

So standard marine weapons.

I had assumed that being marines I wouldnt need to spell it out.

People ask because the assumed codex is actually Grey Knights, with their abundance of Force Weapons and Psychic abilities. See, you've proved assumptions are wrong since you aren't using that codex! And I'd say DA robed bodies, Scibor egyptian heads and Grey Knight arms for the force weapons. You can always attach a bolter to the arm instead of the storm bolter. Options abound!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

These are great, but the seller is purely on ebay and only offers the parts in waves:

Thanks mate.

Already have all the bits from Irina (as per OP).

She actually doez some very sexy Egyptian Terminator conversions also.

My termies will all have Jackal heads (anubis ftw) as a result.

Now, anyone got any ideas on how to represent heavy.and special weapons as psychic manifestations?

it seems i may be too late here, but this is what im using and they are fantastic.

heads, shoulders, and melee weapons: http://stores.ebay.com/Kromlech-Bits-and-Minis/Bits-/_i.html?_nkw=+Stygian&submit=Search&_fsub=1960501012&_sid=137867022

As for using psi powers as specialty weapons i would use a lot of one handed staves with open palms in poses like they are manifesting powers.

also, do this for the legs and they become epic: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.php?autocom=ineo&showarticle=82

Very cool.

Especially the leg armour.

Would even something as simple as a flaming hand, lightning from fingertips or a flare from an open palm be WYSIWYG enough?

Even different colours of a similar effect to represent different weapons?

Ie. Orange = melta
Blue = plasma?

EDIT: posting from phone... autocorrect, argh!

Designating a particular colour and particular effect to a specific special weapon, I don't see being a problem as long as it is maintained throughout the entire army, I'd also probably write up a little card you could provide your opponent to help them remember.

This has been discussed at length with my local gaming group and they will allow it.

It has also.been suggested that poses, including single or double handed should be used to differentiate pistols, specials and heavies.
