hi everyone,

So I got some "Bruynzeel Holland pure red sable" brushes number 3 & 5 and a 4/0 JR products Germany 3338 rotmarder - kolinsky

are these any good? or should I be changing them?

IMO the 3 and 5 are too big for anything besides base coating tanks or vehicles.

I use a 1,0, 2/0 and 3/0 for 99% of my work, then a 10/0 or 20/0 for eyes and whatnot.

That said, Red Sable brushes are quite good, Kolinsky is a bit better. I have both and they are all great brushes.

Never heard of the brands you have though.

Bruynzeel and JR Products are the brands. I'm not personally fanmiliar with them either, but I have no reason to doubt their quality.

Red sable, kolinsky and rotmarder all refer to the brush material, and red sable brushes are good for our line of painting work.
