I was wondering if there was a way to make it so we can vote on images with out having to click a link and change pages? Like in the middle of a blog or the show case thread. Personally i like to vote on the images, but it becomes a pain with the loading of a bunch of pages and switching back and forth. Just wondering if this was doable. I think it was also get more people to vote on images, Thank you for your time.

It's a lovely idea but it sounds like an insane amount of work for, Lego. For that reason i'm sad to say it's probably a non-starter.

Hopefully it's easier than it sounds because it'd be a really amazing addition. Maybe when you hover over the image the voting options would show up over part of the image.

I'd be happy if you click on the image and a pop up window comes up and you can vote throw that, kinda like the sub pop up window. Right now i go through the gallery, but it would be easier if i could vote on things when i see them. and not just having to go to a different part of the site. There are a lot of threads that the models/ images are really good and all i can do is post that they are good. I can't vote with out leaving the page and going back. Its not a huge deal just a bigger hassle then I would like.

Like a said a pop up window, maybe when you hover over the image it brings up an option to vote, and a new small pop up shows up and i can vote on it. That would be great and i think it would help people to actually vote on images. And give people who post images more ideas on what people think of their models and the such. Thank you for taking time to look at this thread.

I completely agree with you. It would be a huge benefit to the entire community if the gallery was even easier to vote on. It also would push the better images to the top of the pile much quicker than the current system.

Despite the hard work involved in coding such an update i imagine Lego would still consider it due to the quality of the idea and the benefit to a massive amount of users. The most likely reason for not doing it would be if Dakka doesn't have enough bandwidth available to cope with such a heavy task. We shall have to wait to here what he says.

Lego!!! O Lego!!! i hate waiting. It's like i have to wait or something. But if i must wait. Waiting it what i am good at. kinda. I am just glad that this thread has gotten some love. Either with people reading it, Or people thinking this is a good idea. Personally i think it would help out so much. As long as there is an easy way of doing it, Either the code or the voting. Thank you again for your time.

It is already planned to be implemented - full in thread/inline voting for gallery hosted images. Lots of other stuff blocks it though, so will still be a while coming.
