Wraithlord (T8) vs Genestealers (S4) - according to the chart, the Stealers can't hurt the Wraithlord. Can their Rending rule overcome that if they roll 6's to wound?

So Crowe against something like Lychguard, he'll wound (and rend) on a 4+, even though hes S4 against T5?

I'm not so sure, though I've always played it that way.
"Note that N on the [to wound] chart means the hit has no effect. A target with the Toughness indicated cannot be harmed by a hit of such puny Strength." (Rulebook, p38)
"If a model armed with a rending close combat weapon rolls a 6 on any of his rolls to wound in close combat..." (Rulebook, p42)
The hits have no effect, so you can't roll on the to wound chart, which is required for Rending to be triggered.
But then p38 says that you must roll to wound after rolling to hit, and then tells you to check the chart. Thoughts?

It doesn't tell you not to roll, just that you can't wound with such a low strength.
This is then over-ridden by the Rending rule, which wounds regardless of strength.

Yes, rending always causes a wound regardless of the toughness of the target.
Crowe Essentially has an DE Agonizer. He always casues wounds on a 4+ and those wounds ignore armor saves.
(unless you are fighting T3, in which case 3's wound as well but you get armor saves against those)

You're not prevented from rolling on the chart, it just wont have any effect. Unless you have Rending, in which case roll and only apply the 6's.
Edit: There you go, the two above answered faster.

But it also says that the hit has no effect.
Though I'm inclind to agree, as you've already rolled to wound before you check the chart. So, essentially disregard my previous post except as an example of the possible counter-argument.

Actually, you roll to "Hit" first, then to wound. Hit is WS vs WS and a WS1 can still "Hit" a WS 10 (on a 5+).
Helps if you don't skip the Hitting step.

So in summary, my Wraithlord can be wounded by a pack of rabid Genestealers, but only if he rolls well on the To Wound. Thanks, all! That was my interpretation as well, but wanted to be sure.

Or if they have toxin sacs. Then they wound on a 4+ (and rend on a 6) regardless of Toughness Vs. Strength

Well, it worked for him - took a whole squad of 10, but he did kill the Wraithlord (the remaining 2 took a Bladestorm to the face right after that, but hey, it's the spectacle, right?)
