Well maybe I found more info on Warseer so it's most likely that in which they are referring.
And the seriousness of some of the people leads me to believe that not trolling. I just hope more heavy hitting rumor mongers chime in.

shabbadoo wrote:Oh, I am definitely not trolling. I wouldn't troll rumors, with rumors. That's just, bad form. My source did smack me upside the head...er...correct me, and very specifically mentioned "Tau in June". And no, we hadn't been drinking heavily, such that we were near legally dead due to alcohol poisoning, nor does he have an outrageously thick accent and actually said, "Tau soon". He said, "Tau in June", and he says it is a full-on codex release too, not just models.
I am still only cautiously optimistic, even though the few other things he mentioned recently were 100% spot on. Blame it on the current rumor environment, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high either, so we'll all just have to wait and see. Another 4 weeks, more or less, and we'll know.

Dark Eldar didn't have anything leak til like the night before they were unveiled. They showed off the models at a Games Day and a few blurry WD photos got out a night or two before.
Also, the rumor is July for 6th, as that's the month that new editions typically come out in (going by Fantasy 8th ed and 40k 5th ed) so that does leave June open. however, the buzz is all about Chaos and DA for the time being.

Wasn't there Tau rumors awhile ago, then there was something about design flaws, then nothing for the longest time.
If so it's not that far out there, for Tau to come out in June.

We are currently flooded with dubious rumours on June releases, all by anonymous trustworthy sources of course that have been right before. So far, we will see a Chaos Legions, Tau, Dark Angels, and Eldar Codex all in the same month. I don't think, we will see either of them, more likely a Fantasy wave without army book. Looks like a GW campaign to fool the forums to me, that's why I posted this Tau rumour earlier in the release schedule thread.

This was already addressed in the chaos thread days ago:
Johnny-Crass wrote:Maybe it will be a 40k release fest.... Like 4 books and a edition change all at once.
Very doubtful they would cannibalize their own sales by having armies share a release month, let alone a new edition release. However, while it's unlikely, they could potentially do back to back 40k army releases and a 6th edition release. Everyone is assuming this will not happen, because this would be contrary to standard operating procedure for GW, but it doesn't mean it isn't possible.
Just to humor the prospect, going by the various rumors, we could see something like this:
May: Necron 2nd wave
June: Tau
July: 6th Edition
August: Chaos Space Marines
September: 40k starter set
October: Dark Angels
November: The Hobbit
December: Holiday specials as usual
Doubtful, but hey, maybe they just want to maximize profits just in case the world ends in Dec. 2012.

Not that I believe these rumors, but just wondering about the logic here.
Why would releasing two army updates in the same month cannibalize sales? Presumably the people who collect (knowing many collect multiple armies) the armies being released would be the ones interested in buying the new models/codex. I mean, I collect Orks, so if Orks are updated the same month as (for example) Space Marines, I would still buy the updated Ork model. Simultaneous releases wouldn't deter someone from updating their collections, unless the (I would presume) rarer cases of someone collecting all of the armies being updated. In which case they would likely still update both armies, just over a greater period of time.

This is GW business logic. They think everyone should collect every race, for 40k, WFB and LoTR, so they give everyone a full month to blow their entire paycheck on the flavor of the month. They don't want releases to compete with one another, so that's why we get one release per game, per month, if that. Since they have a monopoly on their own products, they space out releases, to the frustration of all of us who do want to spend our money, just not on what they are selling that month.
This is also why over the last 3+ years, they have received very little money from me directly, as I've been focusing on specialist games, mostly eBay purchases there, because they haven't offered in Chaos new products in that time frame. They lost many hundreds of dollars from me directly, but apparently they make up for that with impulse buying and the people who desperately need to stay at the top of the meta game and shell out hundreds every few months on the new hotness. You and I, who collect our army of choice, are not their core demographic, unfortunately.
