Do you thinks daemons revel in Tyranids destruction? Daemons ever fight the Nids? This is a pretty neat question that just came up!

It does not matter from where the blood flows, only that it flows

But yea, they fight; if i recall correctly from the nid codex, the nids actually attacked a deamon world when M'kar the Reborn had well....been reborn...again

The marines who had come to purge that world saw the carnage and wisely, opted for exterminates

Nids get nothing from killing daemons, and certain deamons get all they need from killing nids (blood) but yeah blopie said, in this galactic pissin contest, stay the hell out, be like if china and russia decided to fight, any smart country would stay out of it

In the middle of a daemonic incursion, there's still the planet to consume. That's what the Tyranids want, not the population defending it. They gain very little from the defenders in the way of biomass. So invading a planet mid-incursion still has plenty of biomass to consume. The main question is how much of it is corrupted. That's what the Tyranids would avoid eating.
