If I've got a maximum size crusader squad in CC with a Chaplain and 3x Cenobyte Servitors attached, how do the servitors behave? More specifically, if your crusade squad is being assaulted by multiple enemy units, where are the servitors' attacks allocated if, say, the Chaplain is in base to base with one unit and the rest of the crusade squad focuses their attacks on a different unit? Do they attack the same guy as the Chaplain (what happens if they're over 2" away from him?) Do they have to allocate their attacks to the unit that the main crusade squad they're attached to is attacking? Or do they count as their own mini-unit?

Sorry if there's an obvious rule in the gray tome about this one. I just don't even know where to look to find a rule regarding what people who are effectively wargear do when they're engaged in CC.

The Chaplain is an IC, so he fights seperately from any unit he is part of or joined to per the rules on page 51 of the rulebook.

The wargear entry for Cenobyte Servitors implies that they also join any unit the Chaplain has joined, so their attacks would be included with the Crusader squad. Any attacks back at the unit would affect the Servitors as normal following the majority WS,T and mixed armor rules.

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!
