Hola!

Can you deep strike a monolith and have a squad that was on reserve (and successfully rolled in) come on board from the gate?
In the BRB it states that you pick a unit arriving, place it, then move on to the next and place etc..(pg 94), if your placing the monolith first,
it has presence on the board before say, an O.L. and squad of Lychguard deploy. There's nothing counterpointing about this in the Necrons Codex and although
I've only used this once, we were both unsure on how it was officially ruled so we used a roll-off.

Please provide rule/faq if this is not a viable tactic

Thanks!

The Monolith would have had to been on the table at the start of the turn. The squad may not arrive through the portal on the same turn the Monolith arrives.

Your rule to prove it's not viable is the first sentence of the Dimension Corridor entry on p.47 of the codex "At the start of the movement phase, choose one friendly unengaged non-vehicle Necron unit on the battlefield or in reserve." So right there, it states you must do it at the start of the movement phase, before anything else. It goes on to say "that unit immediately phases out from its current position and 'disembarks' from the monoliths portal." Emphasis mine, but basically this shows you must decide to do this prior to any other movement in the phase.

Kevin has it correct, dimension corridor happens at the beginning of the movement phase, so the monolith was off the board at the time it happens and can't use it.

Blood for the bloo... wait no, I meant for Sanguinius!

And just to be clear, the general precedent for any rule of this nature (SM teleport homers, homing beacons, etc) is that the unit with the rule must have been on the board at the beginning of the movement phase of that player turn, I.E. cannot have deployed via reserves on that turn .

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

But be aware that Necron players who played under the old codex may get this wrong, since in the old codex you could bring the Monolith on and then bring a unit of Warriors through from reserves. It was even FAQed to that effect. this is a change from the old codex and therein may lie some of the confusion.
