Hello Dakka
I'm currently building a 1500 Tyranid army, I have enough models to make 1500 points but would like to buy more to give myself options and include a greater variety of units

I'm willing to swap out anything so ALL suggestions are welcomed

HQ
The Swarmlord
Tyranid Prime w/ Rending Claws

Elites
Zoanthrope Brood - 3 models

Troops
20 Termagants
30 Hormagants w/ Toxin Sacs
10 Genestealers w/ Toxin Sacs
10 Genestealers w/ Toxin Sacs
1 Tervigon
3 Warriors w/ Venom Cannon and 2 Deathspitters

Looking at my list I can see I'm in need of tyrant guard for the swarmlord and hive guard for more anti tank but what shall I remove to make room for these?

My usual opponents field Space Wolves, Dark Eldar, Eldar, Necrons, Tau and Imperial Guard (tank heavy)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Weak link on your troops is the warriors. A small brood and units that can be insta-killed by missiles.

On HQ, best to magentize the arms so you can change between tyrant/flyrant/swarmlord. Best to try out all 3 so you can see the strengths/weaknesses of each build.

Definitely spend money on hive guard. Expensive models, but the best unit Nids have got.

Out of the list you could best drop the Warriors for the points. With the Zoan in the list you can get away with just getting the Tyrant Guard.

Norwich

Personally i'd drop 10 termagants and the warriors.
I'd then either drop 1 Zooanthrope or add a 4th (2x2) or even drop them all and replace with Hive Guard (Which are excellent)
If your Tervigon doesn't have Catalyst, take it.
1 Tryrant Guard for your Swarmlord is needed really.

As for your stealers, i'd be tempted to either try out slightly smaller squads (say 6-7 Stealers) or a larger one with a broodlord (14+ stealers) with FNP (from Tervigon) and cover, they are surprising tough. I'm just not sure about squads of 10. They are a bit too big to be taking on weaker targets, and not big enough to take on stronger targets.

Every game i play says more stealers more hive guard and more gargoyles. Also convert up some shrikes out of the warriors, you seem short on fast attack slots!

Edit

want to point out that gargoyles are really great.

and a trygon, not like 3 just one is enough.

The warriors do tend to under perform so I would probably remove them first
Should I leave in the prime, and attach him to another squad?

The Tervigon does have catalyst...its amazingly useful

I'll definitely buy Hive Guard, they seem to get amazing feedback on all forums
and probably 2 tyrant guard for the swarmlord just in case

Cheers for all the help guys
