For anyone who has read the third Gaunts Ghost Omnibus's, you will be familiar with the Fortis Binary, a Forge World in the Sabbat Worlds. The Fortis Binars founded three regiments, mentioned in the third omnibus. I like the idea of having a fresh faced guard unit that has little battlefield experience and will get torn to bit but (hopefully) struggle through and win. Not only will this be fun to play it will also give room for me to customize and make traditions that will not be ruled by previous GW regiments. So anyway, after doing a little research on the internet I found nothing very useful to me. I would like Idea's on what to do with this regiment. What I have started with is Cadian soldiers with dark green fatigues (Dark Angles green base, Catchnan Green coat, a couple different light green dry brushes) and light brow armour. I like the look. Now what I need help with is the insignia of the regiment, tank patterns, and other fluff that you can think of that will have some relevance to game play, modelling , painting and just any back ground that you think would be interesting. I have only got one squad so far so if you have any suggestions for painting then post them soon.

They would be very well equipped, so plenty of special and heavy weapons.
Vehicles are likely, sentinels, chimeras, artillery, leman russes etc...
Not sure on an insignia but you can make one up fairly easily as it would be unique to the regiment...

I'd play it as an infantry gunline using a single objective holding blob with plenty of firepower and a power blob to move forward and take objectives (The objective taking blob should probably feature Al Raheem counts as in order to get near the objective in time)
