Okay, I'm going to be ordering a Sentinel in parts from eBay in order to use it for an eventual diorama. My question is:
to keep this as fluff-friendly as possible, should it be armed with an autocannon or a multilaser? Also, is a searchlight acceptable?
Any help or thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

More or less yes...Great, we've gone from cheap resin substitutes to weapons banned by the geneva convention...

I always think of them as being very personal and mavericks so I say go with what you think the character would take,

Well, stat wise the auto cannon works better in gameplay, and I'm sure that the Commanding officers took that into account, so you should too.

The way I see it, a scout sentinel is not much different then a sniper. It needs to get into place quietly and then make a devastating attack and exfiltrate quickly leaving no sign it was even there. So, in that vein, I think the autocannon is your best bet.

Buy the full kit and you'll have all weapons options?

For a scout sentinel, I'd say a searchlight would be standard equipment...

The weaponry could depend on the regiment as well. Both are useful for a scout, though autocannon suggest sniper where multilaser suggests self-defence. Autocannon suggests rugged, low-tech weapon and multilaser suggests a more advanced, better equipped regiment?

On the other hand, multilasers don't consume 'ammo', so might be lighter for a Scout?

Lots of fluff things to think about...

Alright, that's certainly a lot of food for thought. Thank you for all the information, guys! It will certainly come in handy.

Autocannon, its way cooler.

And don't forget to glue on plenty of bags, shovels, camo-nets, buckets and other random things the driver has customized his vehicle with. Customized sentinels look way cooler than normal ones!

LOOK!! a shameless self-promotion! (gasp!)

Alright, the results are fairly obvious at this point. Again, I thank you all for your input. Only thing left is to order what I need! No promises on when I'll be done, however. I have lots of plans for this guy...
