So I'm curious, what if everyone on Dakka Dakka got together and played a massive apocalypse battle with the armies they had? How many points would it be? We need two sides so we'll go with Order: the Iom, Eldar, & Tau vs Destruction:I Chaos, Orks, Tyranids, Necrons, Dark Eldar. Which side would have superior numbers? Who would win? Well lets find out.

Here's how this thread will work if you feel like participating, post your favorite army points value that you currently own, not something you would like to own. We don't need the whole list, just the points to the best of your ability. It's the honor system so try your best to be truthful about what you have since the point we're trying to find out is the points value of Dakka Dakka's collective army.

Here's and example of my armies I currently own:

Black Templars: 2000

Imperial Guard: 1850

Chaos: 1500

Remember, IG can also count as forces of Chaos, but you must choose which side they fight for unless you actually have dedicated IG because you can't put both on the table at one time, this goes for SM's and other "count's as" units as well.

In total I can currently field 3850 Iom, and 1500 points of Chaos.

Order: 3850, Destruction: 1500

When you post your points, please add to these figures from the previous post.. and hopefully we'll get into the millions. (I seriously expect to).

I guess in apoc I can field about seven thousand points of orks, not counting silly stuff like units of AOBR warbosses, so that's:

Edit: Went through and worked it out.

For the side of Order, I'll bring 2500 points of Sisters of Battle, 3000 points of Imperial Guard, 6500 points of vanilla Marines, 2800 points of Eldar, 750 points of Grey Knights, and 750 points of Space Wolves. I opted not to bring my Tau, nor my Destruction side forces; the former because I never play them, the latter because it'd be a conflict of interest in other people's eyes.

Total added: +16,300 for Order

Order: 24150 Destruction: 14250

This is remarkably peculiar, as the two numbers are anagrams of each other. : /

I predict that with the breakdown listed here, order will have more points by roughly 2:1. Because there are 10 "Order" codexes, and only 6 "Destruction". Maybe Eldar and Tau should switch sides, and bring it to eight-on-eight, Imperium versus not-Imperium.

That said, I'll leave my order forces home, and throw 60,000 points for Destruction...

I'll throw in about 3k of assorted CSM (never actually counted how many points) alongside 2k of Eldar and 2k of Tau.

It's all completely up to you what you bring, all I ask is that you participate and not add points you don't actually have (or can field on the battlefield at the same time.) Awesome job guys, keep it up!

Brb counting up my entire guard army....
current estimate: atleast 3500 for the super heavys alone. with maybe 5000+ for the rest (not including a mega cannon with its own rules.). so.... 8 to 9000+ of Imperial guard to add to Order.

As for playing the game. can you say impossible task? one section of the board might be on turn 2 while the rest is still in the movement phase on 1. and theres no way to speed it up without everything going out of order. that and it would be a turn a day
