So I've been ignoring my mostly unbuilt models for about a year., so I went to my GW and sat with the manager for some help. I gave him a list of exactly what I had and he helped me make a list using most of it so I could finally start playing since it's been almost 2 years since I first came into his store and he wants to see me finally play a game. We came up with this list:

HQ (245pts)
Njal Stormcaller (using normal rune priest model)

Elites (120pts)
Lone Wolf
*Bolt Pistol, Power Armour, Power Weapon

Wolf Scouts
*5x Wolf Scout
**4x Bolt Pistol, 5x Close Combat Weapon, Meltagun

Troops (385pts)
[Grey Hunters Pack
*9x Grey Hunter, Plasma Gun, Rhino(Extra Armour)

Grey Hunters Pack
*10x Grey Hunter, Meltagun, Meltagun1
*Drop Pod
**Storm Bolter

Edit 1: Fixed # of grey Hunters and Rhino armour.

One of my scouts has a plasma pistol arm from a previous plan a long while ago. It's unpainted so should I just replace the hands and gun our leave it and say it's a fancy bolt pistol? Or should I try to squeeze it in?

Edit 2: The plasma gun squad was supposed to be the 9-man squad.

most people dont care if a model's wargear doesnt exactly match up with what's in your list. As long as both parties know what counts for what you should be fine.

1. The plasma gun pack should go to drop-pod, since on the turn they arrive they can't do anything except for rapid-fire. I'd give a second plasmagun to them too. The melta pack should to to Rhino accordingly.
2. Lone Wolf should get two Fen Wolves as extra ablative wounds.
3. Njal even in Runic Armor is waaaay to much points spent for 750 points list. I'd ever field in in Apoc games or in fun lists starting from 2000. Take an ordinary Rune Priest instead.

Looking to trade away 15mm Forged in Battle Pumas (still in the box).

The point of the melta in the drop pod is take out a tank straight away.

Low point battles are just weird for all the marine armies. They can not build a truly list anyway.

I would suggest just play. You will get a feel for the rules and what models you like.

I would recommend some of the space wolf tactica things on here, they easy enough to play.
Make a base of long fangs with missile launchers(maybe woth razorback), greyhunters either in a razorback with a melta or in a rhino with melta, powerweapon, standard, mark and wolf guard with fist and combimelta. This will be generally a solid base.
This needs missile launchers and meltaguns, maybe try the pack of weapons on forgeworld or follow peoples advice on weird websites to get them. The mark of the wolf(wulfen) is done well by an independent company, really werewolf looking, standards are easy to find.

Good luck
