As the title suggests, I am making oversized concrete rubble (big enough to fit one dreadnaught and two marines alongside it, or one predator tank)
And I did use from one store generic black, thinned and layered it down. It did a good job with bonding, but will have to use another layer.

Now question is, should I go to random paint store and ask if they have similar paints to codex grey and fortress grey?
Or is the GW pigments so valuable that I should spend it on base?

What do you guys think?

You will need to know more about the color than codex or fortress grey, if the person who is working is not familiar with 40k or fantasy you may run into trouble.

The hex codes are handy for places that aren't listed on the chart.
