When you fire the destrutor do you get an arc off every shot resolved or just one arc off the first shot?

Alternatively; For which shots do you roll to hit?

You get one arc after you resolve the weapon's normal effects. Regardless of hit or miss, the weapon gives you a chance to strike all units within arc range.

I think he means whether you get it every time it fires, or just the first time, since the Arc rule states 'after the initial shot has been resolved'.

The order, it seems to me, would be:
1. Tesla destructor fires at a target. Check Range and LoS, then roll to hit. Every 6 rolled counts as three hits thanks to the Tesla rule.
2. Reroll misses due to twin-linked. Every 6 rolled counts as three hits thanks to the Tesla rule.
3. Resolve hits from the tesla destructor's shooting. Roll to wound, roll for penetration, etc.
4. After your opponent takes his saves on the unit, check for Arc to all units, friend and foe alike, within 6" of the original target. Note that per the Necron FAQ if the original target was completely destroyed by the Tesla Destructor there is nothing for the shot to Arc to, so you cannot roll for Arcs off of a destroyed transport, for example.

I could be mistaken but I think you are combining the tesla carbine and the Tesla destructors rules...
From what I understand: regardless of whether or not you hit with all four shots, if you hit with even one, roll a D6 for every other unit, friendly and enemy within 6 inches... if the roll is a 6, that friendly or enemy unit takes D6 strength 5, AP- hits... I think the extra "2" hits on a 6 are only for the tesla carbine...

The "extra hits on a 6" bit is under the Tesla weapon type in the codex, not under any one Tesla weapon specifically. Tesla Destructors do indeed get 3 hits for every 6 rolled, just like Tesla cannons and Tesla carbines.
The Arc explicitly cannot happen until after the initial shot is resolved. That would indicate that you need to roll to hit, reroll misses, roll to wound/penetrate, and pass armor saves/roll vehicle damage on the unit you fired at before checking for arc. If your initial Tesla shots take out the target, you cannot Arc, as per the Necron FAQ. So yes, technically only a single Tesla destructor hit is required to arc, but you must resolve that single hit fully before rolling for your Arcs.

I stand corrected and thank you for enlightening me about the general tesla rule, but I do believe a "6" only gets you 2 more hits, not 3... I remember reading that in the forum earlier this week and in the necron codex

Tesla weapons score 2 extra hits for every roll of 6. Counting the original 6, which is always a hit, that makes 3 hits per 6. Unless you'd rather softball yourself like that?

no not at all... I just meant that you only get 2 extra hits for every hit of 6 you achieve, so essentially with a tesla destructor, you can achieve 12 hits if you roll four 6's... correct?

Correct. Note that the Tesla rule still applies to rerolled misses from twin-linking.

Correct, For every 6 you get 2 extra plus the original hit for a total of 3.
"For every to hit roll of a 6 the target suffers an additional 2 automatic hits."

Bring more than 1 Annihilation Barge, 1 is to easily dealt with 2 are a real threat. Unless your fielding allot of other vehicles that will be at least an equal threat or something the opponent will want dead before the Annihilation Barge.
And I completely miss-understood what you said earlier sorry I had just woke up.

You need 3 even though it's overkill, which everyone loves so get 3.
Then you go and get night scythes for every unit possible and you can have 12 twin-linked tesla destrucots firing every turn. Best gun in the came, will kill anything except a land raider - this can be solved by using zandrek to give it tank hunter.

So lets say you hit with 6 shots from the destructor. after wounds and saves are resolved. You do the arcing affect. Even though you hit with 6 shots, do you only roll 1 arcing? or do you get to roll for 6 arcing?

You would roll 1d6 for each unit within 6" of the target, just like it says. If you could fire a Tesla Destructor's shots at separate units, I'd say you would have a case for multiple arcs, but as it is the arcing is not determined by the number of hits, but rather by the number of targets you hit with the initial shots, which will always be one unless something changes in 6th edition.
