I am brand new to warhammer and so far I have only 4 orks painted and glued. I am using a very bright color scheme that probably won't work well with vehicles so I may have to repaint but I am looking for painting tips. I am using yriel yellow for the clothes, wazdakka red for weapons & armour, I VERY lightly cover choppas with mechanics Standard grey on top of wazdakka red with some evil suns scarlet at the end of the choppas because orks on a Waaagh! probably don't clean their weapons. Also I use the evil sunz scarlet for their belts and armor and stuff like that. I use the yriel yellow to do the details on the sluggas also. For the skin I use Waaagh! flesh and I don't have a white or brownish for the horns or teeth yet. they look pretty good but again The vehicles....
