Perturbed Blood Angel Tactical Marine

UK

So moving onto my second squad I have decided against the standard blood angel colour scheme and have gone for the two tone (Black& Red) Angels Sanguine. I was pretty worried about attempting this as they are my second squad and I've only been painting for a month or so. He looks pretty cool so far but I have 15 to paint and he's already taken over a day.

I haven't started the chest details, the parchment detail or the eyes which I think I make green.

Looks decent, but the light is quite glaring so I can't give the best of reviews.
The paint is quite thickly done.

I felt sorry because you got no comment

I think you're off to a good start. I agree, the paint seems a little thick and I can't really make out the highlights on the black half of the armor. Also, for future reference, this forum is for completed models only. If you are looking for input on a WIP, head over to the Painting & Modeling Forum. We won't bite, I promise!

nothing wrong with spending more than a day on your mini's. Sheesh, I spend a week on 1 marine (my new BA's soon to have pics up). The red is bright and contrasts nicely with the black. I think you chose the right color for the chest aquilla as well....you want it stick out and not get lost in either of the prime colors of your model. Great work though. Now for details and basing and your done!
