Erm can a Defiler take a TL Las cannon?

Yes a Defiler can.

PM squads are very expensive. I know PMs are now supposedly tougher, but your spending 45-55 points more than you should be on a 5 man squad. (You want either double Melta or double Plasma, not a Champ).
