So me and a fellow Traitor have been discussing the recent changes and it seems like the new nastiness is MoN nurgle bikers/sorcerers, is this the case?

Nah, basically you get real T6, but you're gonna pay out the backside for them.
I think the real boss is gonna be T5 with FNP, which your standard Plague Marines get. Vanilla SM Command Squads on Bikes also get this and so do Nob Bikers. T5 with FNP means you get your FNP save on anything less than strength 10; so you get an FNP save against Power Fists, Meltas, and Krak Missiles.

Guess I should start a 6th Company Ultramarines Bikes. Too bad they only sell Single bikes now, and the upgrades separate.

You should consider getting a Biker Captain with a Biker Command Squad. They get FNP and T5, which you basically cannot take away unless you hit them with Strength 10-. Biker Captains also are immune to ID to anything below S10.
Bikers are relentless and get Hammer of Wrath hits, and now they have a built-in 5+ Jink cove save. So if you get hit with a Krak Missile, a Biker Command Squad would get a Feel No Pain save (5+) and a 5+ cover save. Pretty wicked.

Psh, put the Biker Captain in front, and enjoy the fact that he has a 2+ save and laughs in the face of Krak Missiles.

Check out the price for the raven wing box set, think those are still a deal and you get all the parts + extra sprues
Thats a damn good idea on the biker captain, I think artificer or terminator armor is going to be the go to.
