So i got sick of staring at the boxed chaos army i have had lying around my house for 2 years and decided to trade it in for some Necrons. I just kind of went into the store and grabbed everything that i liked the look of.
I have the following:
1 Lord
32 Warriors
15 Immortals/Deathmarks
2 Command/ Annihalation barges
3 Doom/Nght Scythes
1 Ghost ark
6 Wraiths
10 lychguard
1 lord on foot
9 scarabs
Here's what I would try out. This is exactly 1850:
1x Overlord w/ Warscythe,
MSS & CCBarge
1x D.Lord w/ Warscythe, Sempiternal Weave &
MSS
9x Triarch Praetorians w/ Rod of the Covenant
1x Harbinger of Despair w/ VoD
5x Deathmarks
6x Wraiths w/ 4x Whip Coils
1x Harbinger of Destruction w/ Solar Pulse
1x Doom Scythe
1x Harbinger of the Storm
5x Immortals w/ Night Scythe
1x Harbinger of the Storm
5x Immortals w/ Night Scythe
1x Harbinger of the Storm
5x Warriors
-Keep The Warriors in reserve, and have them walk onto the board to capture a backfield objective.
-Keep the Lancetek should in cover and pop the Solar Pulse when you need to (probably turn 2, as NF is already in effect during turn 1).
-When the Fliers come in, they'll do a lot of damage.
-There are three Voltaic Staffs in this list, so you shouldn't have any trouble bringing down vehicles.
-The Wraiths and the Praetorians will act as two different types of
CC threats for your opponent, and if you need them to work together, then they'll murder anything they touch.
-The Overlord on the Barge will just do his thing.
-Use the Death & Despair unit to eliminate things like Long Fangs, Devastator squads or Psyker squads. Annoying backfield stuff.
