Recently i got some glow in the dark nail polish for an experiment to see if i could make my 40k models glow.
after a few applications. i managed to make a new model (a truck/chimera) have parts glow.

The parts that glow are some panels on the side, the front spot light, the windows, the weapon barrels and the windsheild of the top turret.

The glow in the dark feature would be very good for Eldar, Dark Eldar, Tyranids, Necrons and possibly Orks. Its not game changing but its a novelty and is a fun thing to mention
"Hey! my tank/soldier/alien creature/whatever can glow in the dark!"

Here are my experiments.

In the light.

Glowing Truck.

I had to photo this via a tri-pod and night settings on the camera. Just before the flash goes off i would cover up the flash emmiter and the camera would take the picture with a long exposure time.

I'd imagine this looking a whole lot better on crons or possibly a VC Mortis Engine as it does tend to give off a more 'ghostly' glow rather than that of headlights.

Not bad, although I agree with Xendarc about it looking more ghostly.
Have you tried different colors or UV reactive paint? Take a look at the link in my signature for what i've been doing with UV reactive paint on necrons

PM me if you want me to draw anything related to Warhmmer 40k. I will put it in my gallery for all to see.

I found this little bottle of glow-in-the-dark nail paint while i was on vacation recently at kennedy space center.

IM sure with some digging. the same paint or even other methods of giving this glow to models could be found.

My Nids are done up in UV reactive paint. Hehehehe...

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
