Hey guys! Quick question!

Now, I was thinking of two armies, Night Lords and Astral Claws! However, I was thinking of using the Blood Angels for the Night Lords and the Space Wolves as the Astral Claws!
I thought the BA have the right kind of rules for a Night Lord army (Lots of quick assault-y business..) and the main reason for the SW being the Astral Claws is because I have a load of Lion's from the HE Chariot Models and would LOVE doing some "Thunder-Lion" cavalary!

Was just wondering if you guys had any thoughts on what would be a good pick the armies?

Well the night lords are a chaos legion so you may run into problems with people being a little less than receptive of running them as a loyalists.

Heh, well I already have a BT army I just wanted to try something new is all!

I just really don't like the Chaos Codex for an assault heavy army like Night Lords and that's what made me think of BA

Plenty of people run their chaos army using a different codex, and that's not just limited to chaos of course there are quite a few counts as armies about.

Do you have these armies? Because if you don't, the new codex will be out in the next 2/3 months...

I hadn't bought anything yet, I was going to buy them this payday!

I like both those armies (in fact, my wife and I are collecting them currently), but I don't think you really have it right, there.

First, they have only been (tenuous) allies since ACs went Red Corsairs.

Second, Astral claws are well-represented as both vanilla Marines or Tyrant's Legion.

If, ignoring the bizarre fluff inconsistency, I were to make the combo, I'd call them:

Tyrant's Legion
&
vanilla Marines led by Shrike (NLs)

or,
vanilla (ACs)
&
blood angels (NLs)

(or, replace ACs' representation above with Dark Angels, which fit thematically and mechanically)

I've always been a fan of the night lords AND the space wolves (as my name suggests).
