So im looking through my codex at the chapter masters and it is saying i can replace his SB with the TH, then i can replace his power sword with a TH, maybe im not seeing something but this just sounds silly.....and i kinda wanna do it haha

Dual and yes I think it'd give him an additional attack. That's the Space Marine codex isn't it? You can give a guy dual stormshields as well.

I'd stick with dual fists if I were you, save the 10 points.

My terminator wolf lord has double hammers. Not sure if it's legal (I don't play wolves) but it looks boss.

I've been very tempted to do this as a conversion for a chapter master. Crazy expensive points wise, though.

Always thought fists/hammers on a chaptermaster/lord etc is a waste of their boosted initiative, but then rule of cool and all... yeah rule of cool wins this one

No-one's claiming it'd be awesome rules wise, but if everything in every army were built solely for it's numerical superiority then it'd be a dull game indeed. To me, anyway. I'm sure others might enjoy that.

a 6++ - 3++ and 3++ = 6++

Saves combine downwards.

So a 3++ and a 3++ would give you a 0++ meaning you are unkillable!

And you get to use both your SS to bang them around the enemy models head like cymbals, giving the enemy -3 to initiative.

I checked the SW codex and it's a legal combo. Also it's legal to put that same Lord on a Thunderwolf if he doesn't have Terminator armor....now that would look cool though not good points wise.

Moving to YMDC

Dual TH is awesome looking, and I agree that you have to do what is awesome over min-maxing everything. If you were to min-maxing I would go with a LC/TH. Then you get to attack at initiative when you want and still get the extra attack either way since they are both Specialist weapons rule.

pretty sure specialist meens they only get +A1 when the weapons are identical bud. so 2xLC or 2xTH, not one of each

Nope. Weapons with the Specialist rule never get a bonus attack, unless you are armed with a second weapon with the Specialist rule.

This means all of the following will confer the bonus attack:
Power Fist + Chain Fist
4x Lightning Claws
Thunder Hammer and Unique weapon that says it has the Specialist rule.

Rules state two specialist, not two of the same.

It wasnt two handed in 5th ed either - 2 could get you the plus one, but then you had to have two of the same, an extension of the 4th edition standard of needing two LC to gain the bonus.

No they were singlehanded and you could take 2 for the bonus attack in 5th.

Thing is though in 6th you can take TH and a single lightning claw.

You now have 2 specialist weapons on the model so no matter which one you attack with you gain the bonus attack; you also now get to choose to strike at strength and init, or double strength Init1.

Of course its expensive as all feth
