I'm really happy with this one. He only took me 4-5 hours, which is fast for me. Also, the first reaction of everyone who has seen this model has been along the lines of "urgh, he's so gross". Considering that he's a devotee of Nurgle, I think that's a good thing !

He looks great. I have yet to tackle sores/boils on my plague marines yet. I'll be using these pics as reference material

Thanks for the comments, guys! The boils are easy; just basecoat them in Vallejo Game Color Desert Yellow, highlight with 1/2-1/2 Desert Yellow and Bleached Bone, wash (lightly!) with a deep red wash, and then highlight the top of the boil with bleached bone.

Cheers!

It's a great kit, much like all of GW new single hero plastic kits. Now if they'd only convert to all plastic I would be happy.

But the geniuses will make them into finecast not plastic

thanks for the info, but it just occured to me that this doesn't have enough armour to make it as a nurgle chaos space marine lord. Would it?

Sure it have!!! It can not be wearing power armor, but that thick hide is probably some sort of chaos gift (who could grand a 3+ save for sure).

Replace the axe head, add some sci-fi bitz, maybe change the shoulder pad to look more marine. Some cables coming out of the skin here and there will look cool

And GW will prefer to make them in finecast and not sprue-less plastic... always.

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...
