This came up in one of my games this weekend.
You have a Wolf Priest attached to a squad and one of the members of the squad is a Wolf Guard with a Wolf Claw. The Wolf Priest confers "Preferred Enemy (Infantry)" to the squad and allows them to re-roll any "to Hit" and "to Wound" rolls of 1. The Wolf Claw allows the wielder to choose to either re-roll "to Hit" or re-roll "to Wound".
So my question is, how do these two rules work together? Does the wolf guard model get to take two re-rolls or does he have to choose either the "preferred enemy" re-roll or the "wolf claw" re-roll?
We determined that the answer had to be one of the below. Either,
#1 : (Use one or the other, but not both) If the wolf guard player uses his wolf claw to re-roll "to Hit", then he can re-roll any to-Hit dice once and must accept the result. Then he can use preferred enemy to re-roll any "to Wound" dice rolls of 1.
Or,
#2 : (Use both re-rolls) If the wolf guard player uses his wolf claw to re-roll "to Hit", then he can re-roll any to-Hit dice. He may then re-roll any of those dice that come up with a 1. Then he can use preferred enemy to re-roll any "to Wound" dice rolls of 1.
Is it one of these, or is it something else? Go Dakka1
