Hey all, since 6th ed is out and allies are in i tested some Daemons with my CSM army! and wow what a punch it packed. I was curious about the Glamour of Tzneetch as it doesnt say how many times I can use it ? I made a BW fail its Ld10, and made it shoot another BW.. then the lootahs inside failed their Ld7 and i made them blowup the other BW! it causes so much mayhem for a 5+ upgrade to a pink horror! He will be remember as a fierce opponent now for sure.

Beyond the fact that the power is explained over four paragraphs and seems to only effect "a" unit, I have little evidence to argue that it could not be used more than once per turn. Personally out of respect for the game (and GW's ambiguous writing) and my opponent, I never use this power more than once.
I use
Ahriman
Sorcerer
5 Terminators
9 Tsons
9 Tsons
9 Tsons
Fateweaver
3 Flamers
9 Horrors w/ The Changeling
and I have yet to be disappointed. Trust me. You don't need more than 1 time per turn. Over one game, I had an Imperial Fists player fire on his own terminators with his plasma cannon devastators (three times, might I add).
Once per turn, the power is where it needs to be. For 5pts, I'd expect a kick to my teeth if I tried to use it more than once in someone's turn.
Cheers friend
PS- It says "pick a unit that is about to shoot". If it said "anytime enemy units are about to shoot", I would use it more than once.

I always thought the Glamour rule was a bit more specific than it is - but it does not explicitly state once per shooting phase.
However, if you read the GW FAQ, it states the "Q: The Changeling's Glamour of Tzeetch says....A: Just one unit."
It would be awesome if it was more than one, but for the cost it is a very nifty little ability to have. Remember, a unit that is Glamoured also cannot assault that turn if it shoots a friendly unit!

Much thanks, I only skimmed the FAQ as I bought the daemon codex the day I used it as well. I figured for a 5pt upgrade that sounded rather crazy, but I was thinking he's also only 1W, T3 4+ invun for a special character.. his cheap tradeoff is he'll die immediately!
Thanks! My ork friends going to be happy for sure.
@Brometheus
How do you deal with vehicles? I find relying on Bolts of Tzneetch unreliable.

I try to ignore vehicles. Between the changeling, telepathy powers such as puppetmaster and hallucination, and glancing hits from Flamers of Tzeentch, I have no reason to really be afraid of vehicles.
My area may be different than yours, but people are moving away from rhinos.
If someone has Landraiders, I just chunk Invisibility up on a unit as bait and throw them into combat. Enjoy your terminators being in combat with a Tsons unit for 5-7 turns! As for the land raider, I'll just laugh as it goes around wasting lascannons on Tsons.
BoTz is definitely unreliable, but the changeling is there to pick out a lone combat squad with a lascannon and no sergeant so that they can fail a check on LD 8 and shoot tanks for you.

I don't plan my army list around spells. I plan my turns around which ones I get.

Mkay, don't turn this thread towards me. OP mentioned CSM with demon allies. I was only adding my own input on my experience with demons as allies to my Tsons army.
