Ok. There is plenty of thread about TFG, about bad experience at a friendly gaming store or about awful tournament opponent.
Let's try one about Good experience, cool guy and awesome game.

I'll start.

Friendly game. IG versus ork. I dont remember the game: I think he was clearely winning. Or maybe I was, it's not important. We just kept on playing because if we stop the game there, we would have to wait for the other two players to end their game to play with them.

So we keep on playing and he declare:

"This bunker is not really a bunker, you more a like a Bar. Since my squad was there the previous round, I think they should roll under LD to see if they can stop drinking and fight"

The game turn into a bunch of silly rules, about drunk orks, singing IG sergeant, Irish tank driver who wants to take the bar from the Orks...

Truly, I don't remember if I was winning or if he was. We still talk about this game from time to time.

My old gaming group back in the beginning of 5th edition/end of 4th had established our ongoing summer games as the Battle for Dirt Planet. This was a planet with no strategic value, no natural resources, and nothing but dirt, hills, and ruins. We would come up with narrative for why battles were happening (Blood Angels and Dark Angels, both heavy on assault Marines, decided to play a game of football, Orks would join the Dark Angels for a fight because they're big and green too, they gotta be Orks!) and occasionally special rules around the terrain. One feature was bio-lion pits, difficult terrain patches containing the deadly Dirt Planet bio-lion. It would cause D6 S3 hits on any unit that passed through it, and I remember on one occasion a bio-lion pit killed the melta gunner from my Ravenwing bike squad right when I needed it the most! It was a fun summer, and I miss playing with those guys.

There's a great guy at my FLGS who plays Warmachine. Wonderful opponent, nice guy. I've played for ages, but I'm still technically kind of a newbie player.

What this guy does that I think is really awesome is basically goes over his actions each turn. For example, he might go "I'm moving my warcaster here and spending X focus to cast these spells. That gives me Bonus Y on this unit here and lets me also _____". It's a really useful help for me to follow along without constantly having to interrupt and ask questions.
