I have a small Commission painting service, I also have need for my PC and desk for business as well as play. As of right now i have a tiny desk, Some little cheap 60$ from wal-mart that is way way to small. Does anyone know of a good place i could find a "real" desk. I am looking for something with a place to put my PC tower ..drawer space to file away important papers and such..but also enough surface Area (perferd a L shape desk) to be able to paint/store my 170+ paints on the desktop itself..without having to store everything in a large shoe box(s) under the desk, thanks in advance for any help/ideas given.

Look at second hand stores, antique shops and the like for jeweler's or watch maker's benches.

Double that with a high dollar spice rack and you should be good to go.

I second the second hand stores. They get the desks that are too good to throw out when people are moving.

Office supply stores also usually carry desks (STAPLES where I live) and may even have a few for a sane price.

You can also build your own custom desk if you have the time/space/tools. Any real hardware/lumber store you can cut everything you need to size. If doing this see if you can get a discount on scrap lengths of kitchen counter tops as it's a super durable surface. Just don't try to build your own drawer(s), far too much of a PITA.

Ebay collection in your area. You can get really cheap desks people just want rid of.

Antique stores FTW

Nothing quite as nice as finding a bigger desk, hardwood (if you're lucky) for less than $100. Your only issue would be transporting that bad boy.

Got a queen size bed, cherry: $40....

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
