So as the title says, Fortune targets one Eldar unit within 6". That's fine, I Fortune Harlies and they re-roll their cover. When it comes time for the Archon so make a save though, in CC or though lack of bodies to hide behind, does he get the reroll?
I would probably say yes, as he is part of an Eldar unit and therefore shares all rules that would apply, but I can see the other side as well.
So is there any way to discern a clear answer from this? thanks for your help

Yes, as he is a normal member of the Eldar unit as per the IC rules.

So it doesn't matter that it is a Dark Eldar character, the fortune still passes to him as he is part of an Eldar unit?

Yes, he is a part of the unit for all intents and purposes.

Do take the Harlequins in the Eldar FOC, though.

As long sa it was Eldar Harlies yes. The power targets the Eldar unit, whcih the IC is a normal member of.
