Decided to try my hand at making a "fluffy" list, trying to emulate a destroyer cult

HQ-
Destroyer Lord- staff of Light, Weave, Orb (170)x2(340)

Troops-
Immortals x 8 (136)
Dedicated Transport-Night Scythe
Immortals x 8 (136)
Dedicated Transport-Night Scythe
(472)

Fast Attack-

Destroyer x5 (lord joins) (200)
Destroyer x5 /w 1 Heavy (lord joins) (220)
Destroyer x5 /w 3 Heavy (260)
(660)

Heavy Support

Doom Scythe x 3 (175) (525)

Total: (1997)

Where to start- of course, the destroyers are in there as the meaty bits, but to play I need a couple troops. On the destroyer entry in the codex, it said that destroyers are drawn from the ranks of immortals, lychguard, and deathmarks, so troops had to be immortals. As for the doom/night scythes? the destroyers have a tendency to charge to wherever the nearest thing to kill is, so I figured as a vanguard unit, they would probably bump into the doom scythes that fly ahead of major necron advances, and the immortals, if they have picked up destroyer tendencies, would want to be ferried to the slaughter as fast as possible.

You have too few troops, unless you play a victory points match this list will have a very hard time capturing objectives, especially at 2000 pts. May be you should replace a Doom Scythe with another immortals squad or whatevery would fit fluff in the fluff.

When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. "

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

I understand you don't mean for the d-lords to get into assault, but I would say this list could use their warscythes instead of more shooting at 12 inches. Just my two cents.
Also I would agree, another immortal squad might benefit you more than an additional doom scythe

Bedouin Dynasty: 10000 pts
The Silver Lances: 4000 pts
The Custodes Winter Watch 4000 pts
