For all of you AT-43/Confrontation fans: I tried accessing the website at43-confrontation.co.uk today, and got a message from Google telling me that it is a known attack site, so it appears that they have been hacked.

A piracy site with malware on it? What's the world coming to?

It wasn't a piracy site: the guys who ran the site simply had the files up so that people could find them: the official Rackham site went down when Rackham went under and was liquidated. Plus the site-owners explicitly stated on their site that they would happily take the files down if so asked. I guess the real question is this: if a company is liquidated and the names, rules, etc haven't been sold but are up for sale, who owns the rights to the material?

Until the rights are sold the company still owns them, at least I'd think that would be the logical answer?

Asking a question is neither news or a rumor. Making a statement is.

The company can't own them if it has been liquidated and doesn't exist.

Anyway, in this case don't Cyanide studios own the rights to the Confrontation IP?

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Yep Cyanide own the rights to Confrontation and AT-43 and they had no problem with the website. Their only request was that none of their artwork was used in any way.

About two months ago the website got hacked into and most of the data was lost. Everybody involved had already moved on to other projects, so they had no interest in bringing the website back.
That just left me and seeing that I just haven't got more than 24 hours in a day the website will be on ice for now (who knows one day I might go back and revive parts of it in some way).
I only own the URL for another year and I doubt I will be extending the contract.

I hope that answers any questions.
