Ghazghkull goes with some Boyz and they all run forwards and the deffcoptas provide mobile firesupport the buzzsaw taking out light vehicles in cc if shooting fails( unlikely with so many high strength shots even with the terrible bs of the Orks) what does evereone think criticism welcome.

Hello,

Ghaz isn't worth it in 6th (his Waaargh! is now kak)... esp. for a 1k list, change him to warboss in mega armour to save 100pts and hardly anything else.

Koptas are dangerous in 2s because of their leadership, maybe run in singles (only with rokkits, buzzsaws not as good now that there's no such thing as alpha-striking)

Boyz should be running shootas these days (damn all those cheep AOBR guys I got)

On the topic of Boyz as it seems your going tide.... you need more boyz, with the above it frees up about 250ish so another full 30 is possible. Personally I like groups of 20s for more scoring units, manoeuvrability, nobz etc but ymmv.

btw I love looted wagons with boom guns, esp. at this point level, real fun to make as well.

Cheers,

David.

Honestly, Slugga Boyz are still fine as they are. Do some Mathhammer and you'll find out that, as long as you play them right, Slugga Boyz are just as good as Shoota Boyz. The only advantage does come if you consistently play against stuff with a 5+ Armour Save. Against such things, Shoota Boyz gain the edge. But its not a large enough edge to mean you should waste those cheap AoBR guys.

However, what is not as good in 6th is footslogging Boyz. The 'remove from the front' rule and Overwatch mean that your opponent will likely be able to get an extra turn of shooting in. It's still viable, I guess, though I wouldn't really know because I haven't ever ran a Tide, but you'd certainly need a KFF.

Despite what people tell you, a KFF is still mighty useful.

Finally, what DacGerm has said about Ghaz and Deffkopta is very true. So bear those points in mind as well and you should be well on your way to making a good list

Do not discount Shoota Boyz and their extra range and especially their extra number of shots. Ork shooting is all about volume of fire and is not to be ignored.

The KFF is okay but its usefullness now depends in part on your local meta game. If your area runs lots of terrain the KFF is less valuable then if your local games are played on wide open pool tables. You should keep that in mind.

Ghaz is still excellent in 6th edition depsite his detractors, but not in a 1000 point game. I generally will not put him in a game under 2000 points.

The Buzzsaws on the Deffkoptas are not all that great but the rokkits are almost a must have in Ork lists now. If you are going footslogging, a unit of Lootas to supply long range fire support and to down light armor and flyers can be very effective.

Ghaz. does not fit the list. He isn't so great anyway. For the first time ever.

Foot slogging boyz need a kff to get cover saves. You can not possibly expect to have all the boyz in cover as they cross the board, even if you play with loads of scenery.
Boyz without cover die far too quickly to make them worth while.

You are really reliant on boys being able to kill stuff and koptas not running away.
