I've been interested in writing codexes that do not have an official codex, or one that is outdated or poorly created. I've also seen other people mention that they wish that some armies, such as the Mechanicum, were represented in the table top. I think it would be good if we could get together and work on writing such codexes together, and with an eye toward fun and balance. I'm thinking that Google Docs could be a good way to collaborate, but I'll look for other methods also. Current codexes: Ordo Xenos Ordo Herreticus Ordo Malleus Ordo Scharzenkommando Mechanicum Junkers Guild Tau Homepage: http://mechanicum-project.sturmkrieg.com

Ok. That's good. I'll setup a website where people can register. You'll just need a Gmail/Google account, since that's probably what we'll be using to write the codexes.
Everyone can do what they want. Fluff writers can write the fluff, and people who like to write rules can do that.

in Inquisitor, a Space Marine can take a krak grenade, pull out the pin, eat the grenade, throw the pin, and the thrown pin will actually kill a normal man, whereas the Space Marine won't even have indigestion. This has actually happened in a game. Hell, a marine can throw his bolt shells and do more damage than by shooting his boltgun |

Here's the website that we'll use for posting information and updates about the project.
http://mechanicum-project.sturmkrieg.com/
We'll work on the actual codexes themselves in Google Docs.
If you all could send me a gmail address in a private message, I can add you as a collaborator.

Why not expand it to writing army lists for armies that need them?

If you send me a Gmail address, I'll add you as an editor to the codexes. I'm doing it with Google Docs instead of wiki pages. Thanks.

I'd help but all this google mail/ gmail/ yahoo mail is beyond my ability. I hate making new addresses.
I have hundreds of email addresses that I can't remember passwords for.
I also never check any address I've made so I'm sure each one is maxed out with junk and spam.

I'd definitely like to help on new codices as well, or even ally datasheets would be pretty fun! My gmail account is my username here. So just put that, @gmail.com and you're all set. :3 I have made my own game before, and have done a lot of rules for 40k so I feel as if I would be a good fit. Thanks!

You can create a Google account with your existing email address, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Automatically Appended Next Post: BoomWolf wrote:Well, i may or may not be intrested, it depends on one crucial fact:

So far we have the three main Inquisition ordos and the Mechanicum. We can add whatever you want though to the project.

Well, I am more into Tau myself (and boy that codex needs some work...)
As for the Inquisition, don't the grey knight and sisters cover them up pretty well?
Not knowing much on inquisitorial forces sans the exterminatus fleets though, so I might be horribly wrong there.

I could add a Tau codex then, since they should get redone. At least until the come out officially.

I'll do my main work on a revamps Tau codex (I got quite a few concepts to work on already) and add whatever input crosses my mind on other codex you will do.
