Hi,
This has never really come up for my gaming group but can a steam tank or chariots in general move through a forest without dangerous terrain tests?
Regards

March, charge, flee, overrun, and pursue cause dangerous terrain checks. Not moving. As per page 117.

If they do take a test it is a lot worse than a normal one though right?

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that. |

They still fail on a 1 (normally), but take d6 wounds instead of 1.

If I've got this right though, the steam tank doesn't march (because it's a chariot), doesn't charge (because it has random movement), doesn't flee (beecause its unbreakable), and cannot overrun or pursue due to its special rules.
So basically the steam tank can't ever take damage from dangerous terrain.

However, if its random move is enough to bring it into b2b, then it counts as charging, and technically has to take a test then...
