Troubled By Non-Compliant Worlds

I’m playing around trying to get a new all comers IG list. My basic plan is for an army where a large platoon and HQ set up base behind a ADL, units of Stormtroopers drop into the enemy deployment zone supported by Vendettas who can later on drop off veterans to capture objectives. The list so far looks like:

Company Command Squad - 3 Flamers, Regimental Standard, Astropath, Carapace Armour, Power Fist for Commander - 145

Lord Commissar with Carapace Armour, Power Fist, Melta Bombs - 100

Elite
10 Stormtroopers with 2 Flamers - 175

10 Stormtroopers with 2 Melta Guns - 185

10 Storm Troopers with 2 Melta Guns - 185

Troops
Platoon Command Squad with 4 Flamers - 50

Infantry Squad with Lascannon and Plasma Gun - 85
Infantry Squad with Lascannon and Plasma Gun - 85
Infantry Squad with Lascannon and Plasma Gun - 85

Veterans with Carapace Armour, 3 Plasma Guns - 145

There’s quite a few places I could save points – for example 9 Stormies would probably do the job just as well as 10, and free up around 50 points across the 3 squads. I’m not sure about the carapace on the Vets either, although I do like the added survivability, and likewise I’m not particularly attached to the Lord Commissar (although I do quite like him fluff wise). I was thinking about adding a quad cannon to the ADL but I’ve had mixed results with them in the past, and the Vendettas have anti air covered anyway. I’m also quite drawn to rough riders which seem to have got better for 6th edition?

Would welcome thoughts and suggestions? Restrictions are that I don’t want any heavy support, so no tanks or ordinance please, and I’m not interested in adding in any allies.

I don't have a lot of experience playing IG, only a few games, but i find that carpace armor is not really worth the points.

I would advice that you drop the armor on all squads, and shave the ST squads untill you can afford a third vendetta. I would also get transport for the veterans (chimeras) and trade the lascannons in the infantry squads for autocannons (again drop ST for points).

I'm not a fan of carapase. It's points that can be saved by good positioning. In the end, it really isn't a great increase to survivability with all the ap4 around.

Why put flamers on vets and the CCS, and plasma on PISs? You're wasting BS4 with flamers. The same goes for lascannons on the PISs, since your CCS looks like it's going to be more of a forward unit, it's not going to be around for BID twin linking those LCs. 20pts is a lot for something that's just as likely to hit as it is to miss.

The biggest problem I'm noticing is that you have the anvil, but where's the hammer? Tanks, artillery, tanks. Ditch some of those foot troopers and get some killing power in the form of armor.
Vanilla LRBTs are nice, Demolishers can support a push with plasma vets. I'm not experienced with artillery but from the consensus, it's cheap killing power.

Edit: I just noticed that you don't want any heavy support. I guess all I can say is good luck because those 3 HS slots are incredibly important to guard.
