Ok, so when I bought the DV Starter for the mini rule book, I figured, "What the hell?" and impulse bought a box of Zerkers and split a CSM Battleforce with another friend (Zerkers, Rhino, and 5-man CSM squad to me with all Khorne markings and BP/CCW to model the CSM as Zerkers too!). Being that CSM was going to be my first army back in '05, but there were already way too many SM/CSM players originally in my area, I finally did it.

So now with about $200 of purchases, I have 3 squads of 8 Zerkers (Khorne's number) with Plasma Pistols, 3 Land Raiders (formerly WH Land Raiders), a CSM Lord (with Mark of Khorne of course) and 5 Chosen in a Rhino (with the possibility of the other stuff from the DV starter being converted as well). So what does Dakka think?

It seems like a pretty cool idea. I dont play CSM but i alway wanted to do a straight up khorne army. Good luck!

Right now it's not a competitive list. But it should be fine for pickup games as long as you bring the specials to fight most targets.

Assualt based armies without good support in form of flyers or good range units arent viable .Chaos doesnt even get good land raiders . Impuls buying is not a good thing , may I add .

Constantly losing to all but the very worst armies is not fun. Still, the next chaos codex might shake up things a bit so not all is lost.
