I have a 1.5k space marine army and currently have 500 points for ig allies

Currently i have

A Vendetta
A chimera
a Command squad havent added any upgrades yet
1 veteran squad with 3 meltas and shotguns in the vendetta


I have 130 points roughly left to spend and am not sure whether to add upgrades or another vet squad. I have the parts for both.

Another vendetta is 130pts. Shotguns are pointless, I don't believe you intend to assault with the guardsmen, so an extra 12" range by using lasguns would be more sensible.

Thanks would it be ok to take two vendettas as an ally?

The 3 options im considering are
1.Flamer vets
2.Another Vendetta
3.Leman Russ

Im swaying towards flamer vets as i need anti infantry.

It depends on what your space marine force contains. A leman russ definitely fits the bill for anti infantry (possibly an eradicator, depending on who you're facing) and is more durable than flamer vets imo.

I tabled most of my opponents , when facing assaults armies let the. Always deploy first , then deploy as far away from his as possible , try and put the largest amount of difficult Terria. Between you and him , light his ass up like the fourth of july

Thanks Karskin29 i could make that with what i have bar the addiitional chimera. Different people have said i should get a leman russ or another vendetta but thats a big expense would they be as effective?

Not really , with guard infantry units in the open are extremely weak a chimera is an armoured taxi , multilaser ( strength 6 Ap 6 heavy 3 with a heavy bolter o. The hull . Considerable firepower on its own , now put 2 plasma guns in their and you have a rolling death machine . Take as many AP 2 and AP 3 weapons as you can

Final question would i be better having one vet squad in the vendetta and one in the chimera and the comand squad on foot or two chimeras and a vendetta. Thanks again

IMHO. I say two vets in chimeras and a vendetta with. Nothing in it
